Terms and Conditions

Got To Tri Limited

No. 08616796

This document sets out the terms and conditions for the services we provide to you the customer. We, Got To Tri Ltd, an English registered company, and ‘you’, the customer applies to any individual, organisation or agents on your behalf who we contract with to provide our services. By paying the deposit or the full amount you agree that you have read and understood the terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them.

General

Swimming, cycling and running all involve physical exertion and some degree of risk.  Your health and wellbeing are our primary concern and we will not put you in a situation which we feel would compromise that.  It is your responsibility to tell us of any condition or circumstance that might impact on your ability to take part in the activities for which you are seeking our support.

Before making a booking please ensure you have read all the information on the website and assure yourself that the activities described are suitable for your level of fitness and ability.  Please contact us by email or ‘phone if there is anything you are unsure about.  We aim to provide close attention to your swim technique and also offer help, if needed, with basic cycle skills and techniques.  Wherever possible we will ensure you are in group swims and rides suitable to your level of fitness and ability.  We would expect a basic level of bike and swimming competence for you to make the most of our tri camp.  Most of the run sessions will be optional, pitched at a level appropriate to the group and the day’s exertions.

You should recognise the inherent risks in the activities you will be participating in and agree to accept complete responsibility for any injury, damage or loss caused by you or to you as a result of participation in those activities. This does not remove our legal duty of care but is simply used to highlight your acceptance of the risks inherent in the activities in which you are participating. We will also highlight these in our welcome meeting and through a waiver we ask you to agree to.

Swimming

Before the pool based swim sessions, we will talk through how much swimming you do, any particular concerns as well as what you hope to gain so we can provide appropriate, carefully tailored support.  We reserve the right to stop you taking part in a session, make changes to a planned session or take other appropriate action if we feel you are putting yourself and or others at risk.  You are asked to be mindful and respectful of other users.

Most of the coached swimming sessions will be pool based. However, depending on the conditions and the level of swimming competence, we will look to undertake open water coaching. If you decide to do some open water swimming un-coached we would expect you to notify us if. Of course this will be done at your risk.

Cycling

Road cycling in particular can be a hazardous activity.  Whilst we take great care to ensure your safety, you take part in our rides at your own risk.  If you are bringing your own bike, it is your responsibility to ensure that it is in a safe, well maintained condition suitable for the rides to be undertaken.  You are also liable for any damage or harm that may be incurred to your own equipment or equipment under hire to you.

We strongly advise you to use a protective helmet that is BS EN 1078 compliant. Helmets must be worn for all rides.

Our coaches reserve the right to refuse to take you on a ride if they judge you risk putting yourself and/or the rest of the group at risk, such as through dangerous or inappropriate equipment for the conditions.  Our coaches also reserve the right to change the route if they judge it is appropriate, such as in the event of a change in conditions and/or if there is a risk to yourself and others.

Bookings

On receipt of your deposit we will make a reservation at the hotel and confirm to you we are holding your place.  The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in case you later cancel for whatever reason. Your booking is only secured once we have received the full outstanding payment which needs to be with us ten weeks before the camp. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if we have not received the full payment amount ten weeks prior to the camp and this will result in the loss of the deposit.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel please get in touch as soon as possible.  We will see if it is possible to switch you to another week or to give a part refund.  We reserve the right to retain all of the final payment if you give us less than ten weeks’ notice.

Cancellation by us due to COVID-19

If we are forced to cancel your camp due to COVID-19 reasons we will provide a full refund provided the camp has not commenced. The cancellation will be based on the following:-

  • UK, Spanish or Home Country Government State of Emergency or Lock down Imposed, and travel to the destination of your chosen camp not being able to take place.

  • Home Country FCO advice against non-essential travel to the destination of your chosen camp.

  • Home Country Quarantine period on either arrival in Spain or in your Home Country return destination.

  • Hotel Closure due to national or local advice in Spain.

If by any chance additional expenses are incurred through situations outside of our control i.e. delays, accidents, strikes, riots, government advice, or acts of God (this term includes pandemics and the like), we will not be held accountable.

Cancellations or Changes by us

In the very unlikely event that we need to cancel or make significant changes, we will inform you as soon as possible and talk through the options – such as switching to another week or making a refund (full or partial).  We regret we will not be liable for any third party costs, such as flights, though wherever possible we will seek to minimise the disruption to you.

Whilst rare, it could be that your camp has to be cut short due to events outside of our control. Should this happen then your camp will be regarded as delivered and a refund will not be offered.

If by any chance additional expenses are incurred through situations outside of our control i.e. delays, accidents, strikes, riots, government advice, or acts of God (this term includes pandemics and the like), we will not be held accountable.

Medical and Health

It is your responsibility to ensure you are able to participate in physical activity. In doing so you fully acknowledge the risks involved in such activity.  If you are in doubt, you must seek advice from your doctor. You must tell us in advance of any medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your ability to take part in the range of activities at the Tri Camp.  We are very keen to make triathlon as accessible to as many people as possible so please tell us well in advance of any special needs you may have and we will see how we can best meet them. During the Tri camp, it is your responsibility to monitor your health throughout and cease participation if any unusual symptoms occur, while keeping us fully informed. At no point will we suggest you continue if you feel uneasy and such symptoms occur. You must take every precaution to ensure the safety of yourself and we also ask that you act in a responsible manner for the safety for the other members in the Tri camp.

Liability

We take very seriously our commitment of care to our customers and to ensuring, as far as possible, a safe and enjoyable experience – for example through safety cover at the pool, carefully planned and risk assessed routes and advice on hazards on route.  We accept we would be liable for any negligence or damage on our part.  We are not liable, however, for any harm, damage or loss that results from your own actions, actions beyond our control or which we cannot have reasonably foreseen.

We may charge you for any equipment loaned or hired to you through us that is misused, damaged or lost.

Insurance

It is a condition of your booking that you have travel insurance that covers multi-sport activities (including road cycling, running and swimming - both pool and open water). The policy must include emergency medical care, cover for personal injury, including cover for all activities, including water activities, loss or damage to your luggage, loss or damage to equipment hired or borrowed from us or third parties, repatriation, legal expenses cover and expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of your booking for any reason whatsoever.

The travel insurance details along with emergency telephone numbers should be made available to Got To Tri Ltd before your arrival on camp. It is your responsibility to prove this to us at least 14 days before your arrival at camp.

Miscellaneous

We are keen to ensure this great sport is enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible. As such, we will take photographs of our Tri camps for marketing purposes which could include images of you. We will ensure any images are appropriate for marketing purposes but you acknowledge and give us your authority to use these.

Any Intellectual Property created by us in delivering our services will remain with Got To Tri. We can assign, transfer, subcontract or deal in any other manner with all or any of its rights under these terms and conditions.

We may wish to use your details in the future to let you know of events or offers including those from our trusted Partners that we think may be of interest. We will never share your details with 3rd parties.
