Having successfully delivered familiarisation days on these amazing event courses over the past 3 years Got To Tri are pleased to now continue this service as the official provider of Outlaw Familiarisation days in 2019.

Our familiarisation days are fully geared up to make sure that you are well prepared for your event, our experienced coaching staff will provide invaluable advice, information and support to ensure your race day is as stress free as possible.

The Outlaw events are big undertakings for most people – be it first timers or those seeking to make an impact on the race results in Age Group or Overall. With our insider technical knowledge of the courses and our guidance we can ensure that you reach the start line fully clued up and have all the bases covered come race day.

With four staff on hand (1:4 ratio) you will quickly see that the training day is all about you. We are there to make your day go well and answer your questions. We have a great bike and run focussed structure but there is ample time for lunch and to answer all of your questions too.

Places available

We strictly limit numbers to just 16 places. We operate with high staffing ratios at all times. All of our staff are qualified and insured to deliver these familiarisation training days. Our ratios are 1 coach per 4 participants. This will ensure that everyone has maximum opportunity to benefit from our time together.

What will the day involve?

The day includes starts with a meet and greet, introduction to the staff and support team and a run-down of the day ahead.  In overview we take you through the swim course and transitions – so you are very familiar with the event site. We won’t actually swim on the day, experience has told us that it is not necessary as part of the familiarisation training day, but we will cover everything that you need to know about the swim.

We then take to the open road for a fully (vehicle) supported ride. We will cover the whole course (Half 56 miles / Full 80 of the 112miles – looped course) and after a regroup and lunch (provided) we finish off with a lap of the run course explaining the route, aid stations etc along the way.

Who are the coaches for the familiarisation training days?

We draw upon a wide pool of staff for our training days – all are at BTF level 2 qualified and experienced with at least 10 years of coaching. We also use coaches who have long standing association with Outlaw and we are proud to have the current Outlaw Swim, Run and Transition course Directors leading our familiarisation training days in 2019. No one knows more about the courses and how race day works than these guys. These key staff coupled mechanical and vehicle support staff leaves us in no uncertain terms that we really do have everything covered to ensure that you have a great day.

Where is the familiarisation training day held?

Well for, Outlaw - Nottingham Half and Outlaw Nottingham Full we will meet you at the National Watersports centre in Nottingham and this will be our base for the day. For the Outlaw Half Holkham we will meet you at The Holkham estate. At either venue we will ensure that you are provided with free parking and lunch (please let us know of any dietary requirements).
